Why I love Camp....

  • Best part of my summer!

My favorite part about camp is getting to know really cool coaches and athletes who are super on fire for Christ.

The coaches at FCA camp literally taught me how to play tennis and pushed me to never give up.

Every year at FCA camp I'm reminded of how much I need Christ, and how important it is to seek a relationship with Him.

FCA is for sure the best part of my summer.

  • Experience relationship

I love FCA Total Athlete Camp because of the opportunities it brings for Jesus’ love to be heard about AND experienced. Most of our campers seem to have open ears and hearts to the movement of God while they’re at camp. Maybe it’s because they don’t have the distractions of “home” while they’re gone for five days. At camp, they don’t have a schedule to keep, homework to do, friends to impress, coaches to please, and phones to fill the quiet spaces of their day. They’re building relationships with people their age, many of whom are going through the same things they are facing back at home. They’re being led by college students that are close enough in age to relate to, but old enough to admire. They’re being coached by godly adults that not only want to see them improve in their sport, but deeply care about them as whole people - body, mind, and soul. FCA Camp is more than a sports camp. It’s week full of opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ. If you attend this camp and you’re open to the work of God, you will leave feeling inspired and experiencing lifelong change.

What is Total Athlete Camp?

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes operates the Total Athlete Camp with the goal of it being a week of inspiration and perspiration.  It will challenge athletes on and off the field or court as they are instructed through biblical teaching and trained in their sport.  Campers stay in the dorms on a beautiful campus, eat in great cafeterias, and compete at excellent facilities.

Our sports are lead by college coaches from around California and practices are structured so that each participant can improve, whether trying to make a JV team or pursue a college athletic career.  The 7 practice sessions balance instruction and competition.

All campers are split into "huddles": small groups divided by age and sport, led by a current college athlete.  Huddles spend the majority of camp together, they are housed together, eat together, practice together, sit together at programs, and enjoy huddle meetings that unpack the camp experience.

Our camp vision is that every attendee will improve athletically, connect relationally, and encounter Jesus Christ powerfully.
